The House of Khandeparkers

While in Goa, we visited the House of the Family of Khandeparkers, in the beautiful river-side town of Khandepar, in Ponda taluka. With 25 bathrooms, over 50 living/bed rooms, and a dozen kitchens, the 50+ year old mansion is home to over 35 residents of the extended family.

The beautiful facade, framed by Ashoka trees

Dinner is usually a time for family bonding, and sharing anecdotes from the day! A 16 seater table means that no one misses out on the action!

An internal staircase provides access to the "Mali" (upper storey)

A typical, Goan Balcao (Verendah)

My house in Goa is pretty much similar - though ten times smaller :)

Will try and put up some of those pics online too...

By the way, I am assuming you are from Delhi... am I right?
