When the law assumes an accused is innocent until proven guilty, even in the most horrendous of crimes, why is it that we consider near and dear ones, our lovers, our friends, our partners guilty until proven innocent? How is it that we love and trust someone so much, and yet, give that same person absolutely no chance to present his or her case, to speak out?
Why do the strongest of relationships die because of a simple failure to have a dialogue?

It's interesting actually. We end up not trusting the people we're closest to most easily. For a lot of other more casual friends, we don't even think twice. "Is he lying to me, is he avoiding me", stuff like that never crosses your mind. And when you are extremely close to someone, you doubt them - when they cant talk, when they dont message, when they cant meet!Strange!
Then there's another aspect to it. I would never have such thoughts about my family. I would about a boy friend or a lover or about my best friend maybe. But never about my family. So it's probably either a matter of time or simply a matter of acceptance. Or maybe the two really just go together. You reach a point of acceptance in time!
This post just reminds me of latest Airtel ad that’s on TV these days. It pictures two kids, across border, play football in the mid area of country's border. Then it says - "There's no wall no barrier that can keep us apart, if only we talk to each other!" quite touching ad, I must say. In case, you haven’t had a chance to catch that on TV, here's the YouTube link to the same http://youtube.com/watch?v=uNSF0WIZw2s
This ad shows the relationship for individuals who just choose to keep quite with their resentments against their partners/friends and maybe even loosing the chance of clearing things up as the time goes by. It's "I" who should take steps and start sharing things. If "I" do it, my partner would slowly start doing the same. When we start doing it, there would be no reasons to hold grudges for a 'longer period'! As it goes and as I believe, sharing things relives your mind of all the pains you would have otherwise held within.
