You call to a dog and a dog will break its neck to get to you. Dogs just want to please. Call to a cat and it's attitude is like, "What's in it for me?" :-) Anyway, one must not meddle in the affairs of cats, if you do, then they are subtle and will pee on your computer and walk off. Enuf said.
The way I see it, dogs just know how to make a big deal of their "love" - they also have the benefit of lobbying by their masters and the dog lovers club. Cats, on the other hand, have a very different way to show their affection - and it mostly gets unnoticed. I have known cats for long enough to recognize those signs... a small rat at the door for instance, a gift for you to gorge on. Most of us would instead just shoo the cat away, scream at it, and throw out the gift she so lovingly brought for you!

Good point. Besides, we need to think: A dead rat can't really harm you after the "dead" part, right? LOL!
