While the Indian seniors were spinning their web around the Kiwis for an innings defeat in Hyderabad, the real action was in Australia, where a spirit Indian U19 team wrapped up the final in style, beating strong favourites and defending champions Australia in the U19 WC, led by a powerful, unbeaten captains knock of 111 with 6 sixers by Unmukt Chand, the handsome Delhi lad, ably supported by wickey Smit on 62.
Earlier, Sandeep ripped through the Aussie top order and then grabbed two more, to post 4-54, and restrict the must feared Aussie side to just 225, which was actually pretty good given that they had succumbed to 4-38.
India now hold the titles for both the senior and the junior ICC One Day WCs.
