Yes, we had a hailstorm in Pune today! Small crystals of ice fell down with the heavy rain and wind - unfortunately, too small to hold, too clear to capture on camera, you have to take my word for it :)

I remember there was a big hailstorm in Pune when I was in 10th Std. Remember our entire aangan shimmering in white and collecting ice crystals like crazy - just before my board exams! :-)
Have experienced hailstorm a couple of times in Pune till now.., though it hasn't been common over the past many years
It's no surprise that you're excited about it..I, on the other hand had a horrible time on my way home. Could barely see the road... Actually had to park and wait in the car midway...
