Applied for the Aadhar card today, at a special camp organized in my company. A very simple one page form, and minimal documentation was required (just the passport copy was good enough as address, ID and birth proof). The operator quickly entered name, birthdate and address on the computer - which had an amazing auto-fill, continuously updating itself, and auto-translate into regional language. A quick photo, iris scan, and all ten fingerprints - the software checking for quality and duplicates, and that was it! For all three of us, it took less than 15 mins.
Pretty impressed.
