Indiayaaahhhh Indiiiaayyyahhhhhhhh: We Are The CHAMPIONS

Oh, what a game.. what a performance.. routing England in their own darn backyard to win the Champions Trophy!! What a game! Fighting very wet, overcast and chilly conditions, coming on and off the field every few mins due to showers... India still managed to put up 129 in their 20 overs, with Virat and Jadeja putting on a great fighting partnership, after being reduced to around 65/5... and then what a bowling performance! Jadeja, Ashwin and even part time spinner Raina absolutely choked the English... but the stand out winner was Mahi.. even after Ishant had been hammered for 27 in 3, he still went with Ishant for the 4th, and Ishant responded beautifully.. breaking the Bopara-Morgan partnership, with 2 in 2 balls... and with the fielding and wicket keeping absolutely top class, the English just didn't have the firepower...

7/7 wins - what a way to be crowned the Champion of Champions.... and Mahi, we love you man!!!!! The T20 WC, the ODI WC and now the CT - what a way to stamp our authority on world cricket!

Golden Bat for most runs in the tourney - Shikhar Dhawan with 363 runs at an avg of 91, including 2 centuries and a 50

Golden Ball for most wickets - Jadeja, for 12 wickets
And without doubt, the best fielding - India...

Man of Match: Jadeja, 33 no under pressure, and 2 for 24

Shikhar paid tribute to the victims of the Uttarakhand tragedy, dedicating the award to them. He also twirled his mouche for the benefit of the crowds, and promised it would stay along with Jadeja's! :)

Mahi gave credit to the BCCI for wisely spending the money for better infrastructure, which he attributed to the athleticism of the new Indian team - they have the money, he smiled.

And Virat, he did the Gangnam dance...

And as India took the victory lap, the stadium blared out... Yeh dosti, hum nahi chodenge... what a lovely way to celebrate in the Queen's land :)

More than 80% of the crowds today were sporting the tricolor - talk about home advantage!

Was there anything left to dominate???

Indiayaaahhhh Indiiiaayyyahhhhhhhh
