Eco-Friendly
Like many other western cities, London is extremely eco-sensitive. Recycling is big, and everything including clothes for charity can be dropped in the massive recycle bins dotting the city. More than a dozen categories of items are presorted before collection.
The city is also extremely cycle-friendly, with lots of special tracks and services. You can also pick up cycles from public stands and drop them at other locations - I guess there is a tiny fee, but in any case, it's extremely convenient!
